The Wordsworth is a unique and delightful Wedding Venue at the heart of the idyllic Grsmere Valley, an area of great natural beauty made famous by the greatest of the Romantic poets, William Wordsworth. The Hotel welcomes weddings from 2 to 120 and each one receives specialist personal attention to ensure a wonderful day, flawlessly organised.

The Wedding Breakfast Your guests will be greeted in the comfortable lounges overlooking the lake with a welcome drink served on silver trays by our cocktail waiters. Weather permitting your party can enjoy their drinks in the lovely gardens with direct access from the lounge bar, whilst you are having your photos taken. Later on proceed to the Garden Suite, which will be beautifully prepared for your wedding with crisp white linen and silver candelabras.

PARTIES AND WEDDINGS If you can't boast a country house big enough for all your friends, Augill is the perfect venue for your own house party.
